FREE PARKING is available for our customers!
There aren't that many shops in Bethesda with free parking, but ours is
one of them. Our parking lot is on Bethesda Avenue adjoining the right
side of our building (if you were facing it). There is quite a bit of turnover
in the lot as we share it with a Starbucks. For a map of Bethesda

Tzedakah
"Tzedakah" is the Hebrew word for the acts that we call "charity" in
English: giving aid, assistance and money to the poor and needy or to
other worthy causes. However, the nature of tzedakah is very different
from the idea of charity. The word "charity" suggests benevolence and
generosity. The word "tzedakah" is derived from the Hebrew root
Tzade-Dalet-Qof, meaning righteousness, justice or fairness. In Judaism,
giving to the poor is not viewed as a generous act; it is simply an act of
justice and righteousness, the performance of a duty, giving the poor

This concept is important to us at Knit and Stitch = Bliss. We collect and
donate yarn to various groups that have requested our support. Click

Our shop is just three blocks south of the Bethesda Metro Station on the
Red Line!
The Bethesda Metro station on the Red Line is at the intersection of
Wisconsin Ave. (Rt 355) and Old Georgetown Rd. (Rt 187). From the
station entrance (escalators) head south/right on Wisconsin Ave. At
Bethesda Ave turn right and we are in the first building on the left, on the
second floor.
Directions from the Capital Beltway:
Take the Wisconsin Ave. exit (MD 355) South toward Bethesda and follow
Wisconsin Ave. to Bethesda Ave. where there is a Starbucks and a traffic
light. Take a right at the traffic light and an immediate left into our parking
lot. Our shop is right above Bob's Famous Ice Cream. There also are many
other wonderful shops such as Barnes & Noble and restaurants nearby.
